Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Villa Madonna Montessori!

Children enter the Montessori program at age three years and usually stay for a three-year cycle culminating in the kindergarten year. The first step in the admission process is to schedule an observation. New Families may schedule an observation on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, beginning October 1. At the observation, a registration form for admission may be submitted. We accept registration forms several years in advance and place the students on our wait  for the child's appropriate entrance year. We typically enroll 20 incoming three-year-old students each year, with the expectation they remain in the program for three years.

Please follow the following steps in our admissions process:
  1. Contact the Montessori office to schedule a classroom observation: 859 349 1408.
  2. Complete and return the registration form at the observation visit.
          • Your child will be placed on the waitlist for their appropriate entrance year when both the observation and registration form are complete.
  3. Mid-February, families on the waitlist for the upcoming school year will be contacted in order of waitlist space to schedule appointments for new student interviews; see below for priority.
  4. New student readiness interviews take place starting in March.  A registration deposit and current immunization records are required at that time.
Priority Enrollment
  1. Siblings of current VMM students
  2. Alumni of Montessori and VMA
        • Must be on the wait list prior to readiness interviews.
  3. VMA siblings
        • Must be on the wait list prior to readiness interviews.
