Student Life

Students enjoy a safe, loving, family-like environment. Small classes, with a 10:1 student to teacher ratio, provide individualized attention.

Montessori for children ages 3-6 is based on a three year cycle designed to cultivate each child's natural desire to learn. In order to achieve this goal, the Montessori program is set up to help each child reach his/her potential in all areas of life. Maria Montessori believed that all areas are equally important to a child's development. These areas include Grace and Courtesy, Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Cultural, and Art.

The child-centered curriculum is enriched with monthly visits each school year from the School House Symphony and the Children's Museum. Spanish is also offered during the school day for those interested.

Our graduates leave the program prepared to enter first grade. They have learned to work independently and in groups. Since they have been encouraged to make decisions from an early age, these children are problem-solvers who can make choices and manage on their time well.
